Trooper 95 - Epoxy pine handle

Bought this on a whim, since I own and like the Trooper 115. I prefer the Trooper handle to the slimmer Trapper handle, but prefer stainless Sandvik steels to Finnish carbon steel, which won’t stay sharp.

This, then, is a nearly perfect knife. Fantastic handle, with the pine cone contour just about noticeable in the epoxy, the 12C27 steel combining ease of sharpening, toughness, edge retention and corrosion resistance in a very good balance.

The balance is very good, the sheath nothing special, but durable. This is a knife worth every cent, and I will keep checking out the “Collector’s Corner”.
