BRISA Necker 70 kit includes:

  • Knife blade
  • CNC milled scales
  • Fasteners, rivets or screws
  • Lanyard tube

This kit is perfect as the first knife build. You only have to glue, tighten the bolts, grind them down and make your own finish.

Here is a short example on how you could assemble this kit:

  1. Prepare the Blade and Handle Scales: Ensure that the blade and handle scales are clean and free of any debris or oil. If necessary, sand the edges of the handle scales to ensure a snug fit against the blade.

  2. Apply Epoxy Adhesive: Mix the epoxy adhesive according to the manufacturer's instructions. Apply a thin layer of epoxy to both the tang of the blade and the inner surface of the handle scales.

  3. Attach the Handle Scales: Carefully place the handle scales onto the tang of the blade, ensuring proper alignment. Press the handle scales firmly against the tang to ensure a secure bond.

  4. Add fasteners: Add the fasteners (rivets or screws) to the handle scales and tang of the blade to further secure the handle in place. Cut and sand them down after the glue has cured.

  5. Clamp and Allow to Cure: Use clamps to hold the handle scales securely in place while the epoxy cures. Follow the curing time specified by the epoxy manufacturer, usually 24 hours.

  6. Sand and Finish: Once the epoxy has cured, remove any excess adhesive and sand the handle scales to smooth out any rough edges. Apply a finish, such as oil or varnish, to protect the handle and enhance its appearance.
